A journey from programming languages to modern IT infrastructure to be a great DevOps Engineer.
About me
Hi. I’m Marcelo Pinheiro. I build things and solve problems. Furthermore, I like to travel around the world discovering new places to eat and drink, listening music, compose songs - I’m striving to be a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, drums, piano, cello and violin at this time -, have great conversations with my friends and parents and help people.
I’m not a fan of presenting me with a ton of credentials, but if you are curious, I will give you a little snapshot. I’m a programmer since 2000, writing source code in several languages and after a successful career as a Tech Lead Software Engineer, I decided to make a career shift to DevOps in 2014. Fortunately I had success working in several projects, from the initial development stage to the product launch, taking care of the infrastructure architecture and even helping the tech leads to design the solutions.
Today, I work as an independent Senior DevOps Consultant, giving my services and mentoring teammates. Of course, always learning new technologies in my study time, building new things always when possible to follow the market tendencies from programming languages, infrastructure as code and DevOps best practices.
Contact me if you want to share your doubts, want to hire my services or want to have a friend to talk about good food and drinks, gym, classical music and modern metal (specially prog and djent variants, as same with the great rock bands like Queen and Supertramp, just to name a few).
